H will be one this Sunday and I'm still blaming him for my forgetfulness.

I'd love to know what female drs. who have been pregnant think about that study. I'm hoping their first thought is "BS" as they retire their scalpels for a few months.auntjonehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11090226128263928965noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32156383.post-71414387435634925022009-08-23T13:43:06.427-06:002009-08-23T13:43:06.427-06:00I can't stop laughing about the thong. Considering pregnancy affects your sleep, mood and coordination, it's ludicrous to think your brain isn't compromised.

That said, my new mom brain was way worse than my pregnancy brain.Anne Stesneyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04578405052817943785noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32156383.post-2823468768579843162009-08-21T11:49:21.266-06:002009-08-21T11:49:21.266-06:00Lisa -- luckily Jason didn't see me with the t...Lisa -- luckily Jason didn't see me with the thong on my head. They would have loads and loads of clear, if anecdotal, evidence to the contrary.

I was just talking with a friend who is about 6 months pregnant yesterday about how pregnancy distorts your sense of perception and causes you to spill things all over yourself constantly.

I just thing it's intellectually dishonest to deny that hormones affect the brain in this particular way. We know hormonal changes affect the brain by making women who are experiencing them emotional. Why wouldn't hormones affect our memories and other mental faculties as well?Dawnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02994053521689652049noreply@blogger.com
